Every Saturday morning for years, I watched the same thing happen. Volunteers — people who were giving up their free time because they genuinely loved the club — were burning out on admin. Twenty minutes before a ride, someone would ask about the route. Someone else would say they had not signed the waiver. A third person could not find the pace group they were supposed to be in. By the time we rolled out, the organizer was already exhausted.

I looked at what was out there. TeamSnap was built for kids' recreational leagues — registration seasons, jerseys, game schedules. It has nothing to do with how a running or cycling club actually operates: recurring weekly sessions, GPX-based routes, pace groups that change week to week, members who do not need babysitting but do need coordination. Spond gets closer, but it was built for team sports, not endurance. Every tool I tried required us to bend the club to fit the software.

So I built ReadyRoll. Not as a startup pivot or a side hustle looking for a market — because the spreadsheet chaos was real, the volunteer burnout was real, and I knew exactly what a club organizer actually needed because I had been one.
